Hi, I'm Brittney
I'm the travel-obsessed friend who helps you turn "someday" into a real trip.
My Story
I was the kid glued to the Travel Channel, dreaming about faraway places I wanted to see for myself, but couldn't reach yet. When Disney did DVD’s of vacation planning, I’d watch them on repeat until they didnt work and then order another. In my head, I was going. Even looking back at my childhood goals, I wanted to be three things. To be a veterinarian, to go to Disney World, and become a photographer for National Geographic with a fancy camera because ELEPHANTS!
But reality literally grounds you.
Being firmly middle-class in the Midwest meant road trips, not plane tickets—so I tucked my dreams away and waited for my turn.
Time goes on, and you grow up
After dropping both the veterinary and the photography dreams, I went to college to teach, did so abroad in Busan, South Korea, and spent weekends chasing adventures wherever I could. Seoul by train for a concert? Let’s do it. Flight to Japan for Tokyo Disney? Of course! Coach cheerleading to get to Germany for two nights? Yup. Then life happened. For nearly two decades, I taught, came back to that midwestern box, and raised a little family of my own—but with a twist. I wrote about travel, worked with tourism boards, and did whatever it took to get us on vacation multiple times a year. Now, travel isn't my side hustle—it's my everything.
This is me being my own fairy godmother, fancy camera and all.
